Going through the LA Temple was such a great experience I really wanted to go through my favorite temple, San Diego, before we moved to Provo. I got us rooms at the Embassy Suites in San Diego and we went for an overnight trip. It was a pretty traumatic experience that made other temple trips terrifying for me - and not happen. But the temple was pretty.
